How do I deal with SPAM?

SPAM or Unsolicited Bulk E-mail is an ever increasing problem. As time progresses our e-mail addresses find their way onto more and more mailing lists. Some we intentionally subscribe to and others we subscribe to unintentionally by filling out forms etc. There are SPAMers that use devious means to trick us into revealing out true identity by guessing our address and then having it confirmed by giving you the opportunity to "unsubscribe". There are programs designed to "milk" e-mail addresses from mail servers by emailing literally millions of possible combinations to the server and anything that is not rejected is considered a valid e-mail address and saved on a list. There are many other ways these people are able to target your mailbox.

"What can we do about it?" I hear you ask. Well unfortunately SPAM is something that we have to learn to live with to a certain extent. We can however, make the problem more manageable. I will briefly explain the steps Teksupport has taken to reduce the quantity of SPAM arriving at your Teksupport hosted mail box and assist you in dealing with it when it does arrive. Teksupport uses real-time database of known spamers from various sources and every email that Teksupport processes is checked against these databases. Once the emails have passed spam blacklists, they are passed to an anti-spam content filter.
